All black. Not very original, I know. I was tired! It was raining! Get off my case. A fully black outfit isn’t normally something I gravitate towards (mainly because I am way too obnoxious to practice such chic restraint) but every once in a while, I’ll bust it out when I’m too braindead to think of anything better. What is standard for me though, is the shape - dark colored, high waisted jeans with a cropped button-down collared shirt of sorts. This combo is easy to put together (because it’s like, you know, pants and a shirt. You can put your own clothes on, right?) and can be played a variety of ways, depending on the fabrics, colors and accessories you choose. Here I’ve definitely chosen the dress-it-up route with a rhinestone bib necklace and salmon colored platforms to break up all that serious black. The bag is a cheap POS that I got at the Brooklyn Flea, decided it was fug, so ordered a bunch of screw-on studs from a punk website and stuck them through the front. Now I have an actual weapon to carry around, and what could be cooler than that? If all else fails, just remember that topknot + bright lipstick = fashunz.

Bracelet - I had a buttload of fun on my recent vacation to Maine, which ended with lunch in Portland and a visit to the Angela Adams store, where I scooped up this cute rope bracelet by The Ropes Maine. I did spend some time on a sailboat, so now it’s my God-given right to wear a nautical neon rope around my wrist every day, right? RIGHT??!!
