Home For The Holidays

If there’s one thing I look forward to during the holidays, it’s getting to be with all my family members in one place. With everyone’s busy schedules and lives, it’s nice to know that for at least one day we’re all off of work and school and we can all just have a good time together. This Christmas I spent the day with my family in New Jersey. We decided to start a new tradition this year and wear our pajamas to celebrate. Naturally I wanted to keep things Christmas-“chic”. I mean you never know if you might need to run out to the liquor store to get more booze. So rather than getting caught in the awkward situation of going out in my Sponge Bob pj’s, I dressed in comfy loungwear that could still pass as regular attire. Sometimes all you need is a warm flannel, soft tee, and slim sweats to look put together even if you’re not planning on doing anything more than eating tons of food and opening presents. Special shoutout and thank you to my buddy Isaac of Isaac Likes who got me a pair of Ugg slippers for Christmas. I know Ugg gets a bad rap but these are seriously the warmest and comfiest slippers so don’t be so quick to judge til you’ve slipped into a pair!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday yesterday and spent it with the people they love. So what was the verdict for you guys yesterday? Naughty or nice? Let me know what you got from “Santa” in the comments! Merry Christmas!

Home For The Holidays

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you’re all enjoying the day with family and friends. And we want to just take a moment to thank you all for reading our blog and sharing in our lives!

This Christmas we hosted Anthony’s parents at our apartment. Usually holidays are reserved for going to your parents house so the fact that we were able to host and give Anthony’s parents a break means we’re actually grown up! It was so great to have everyone together and it made us realize how precious little moments like these are.

For those of you fortunate enough to be with your family this holiday season, just know that you are lucky and blessed and remember to enjoy every minute of it. To Dustin’s family out in the west coast, we love and miss you dearly. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to everyone!

Christmas is a day where, sartorially speaking, you don’t have to try too hard. Grammie doesn’t want to see you in a sheer top and leather drop-crotch trousers anyway. Your clothes should be ready for cookie-eating, whiskey-drinking, and present-opening, aka loose and/or stretchy. We don’t get super fancy in my house for the occasion, and stay specifically dressed down for Christmas morning in particular - mascara, hairbrushes and clothes that are not pajamas are strictly banned - but for Christmas evening, we like to get a little cleaned up. A simple, luxe sweater, pants with tactile interest, and CUTE SOCKS (no shoes allowed) are de rigeur for me. Here’s some ideas to get ya started -
Socks - if you’re not wearing shoes, make your feet look cool in other ways. Also your other socks are probably old and gross. So get new ones, like stripes with a cap toe, something Fairisle-y, or polka dots!
Sweater - My first choice would be something cashmere of course, because I can feel like a rich lady. This Vince sweater will have you looking like a very cute candy cane, and I have something similar to this Velvet one that I basically live in. This tan/gray combo or metallic pullover are a little less expensive, but just as good for lounging around and eating all day.
Pants - Something velvety, like this Free People pair.
Add in hot toddies, gift bows and rosy cheeks wherever possible.

Santhony’s Workshop

Oh snap we got gifts! Not fashion related but Holiday related so you’re just gonna have to like it =)

Looks like everyone on our list has been “nice” this year. I spy an Ipad and a house under that tree! And check out that etch-a-sketch-looking Sony tube TV, ehh I was lacking creativity by the time I wrapped that one. Shout out to Dustin’s LLBean PAID gift-wrapping present.  Remember, it’s not the wrapping but what’s inside that counts.
