Floaty ruffle dress + clog sandals + beat up brown leather bag = 70’s livin’. This outfit makes me feel like this guy is my boyfriend and he just picked me up in his truck with a bouquet of daisies and a flask of brandy and now we’re about to go to do something positively unsavory. *Cough cough*
Aaaanyway, this dress. Dresses like this basically solve that “It’s 8am and I have to go to work and look like a lady but then I need to go out to a party and awe the world with my sexy beauty” problem that LITERALLY every human being encounters all the time! It’s a bright color with a small pattern, which means you are basically done in terms of making it pop. The floaty sleeves and open neckline give it some night time cred, but it’s also long enough to be able to wear to your office. For your accessories, pick one place to add a pop of color - bright shoes / neutral bag, or neutral shoes / bright bag. If you want to get like me, finish off the look with a ratty ponytail and cross your fingers that you find your very own Leif Garrett.

As much as we love the city, sometimes it’s nice to get out of our usual surroundings and enjoy some new scenery. After our picnic, we took a walk along the shore of the Hudson River and Dustin was dressed perfectly for the occasion. Boat shoes, seagull shirt, shades, and the perfect accessory - our new Coach leather tote. If you’re looking to pull off a beachy, even nautical look, try items like these in cool colors like the water and think stripes, and ocean themed prints.
