So yesterday we posted Dustin’s Fashion’s Night Out outfit but today it’s my turn. Since we hosted the Block Headwear party it was only appropriate to wear a hat and of course I chose to wear my favorite type of hat - a driving cap. It has a cool “newsboy” vibe to it and I like wearing it cocked to the side and tilted back a little to give it some extra style. Dustin and I tried our best to “match” each other with Fall outfits, which was a bad idea given it was superrrr hot out that day but we managed to stay as cool as we could. The boots were also a new addition to our wardrobe. The nice wingtip detail was just the right touch to round out my look.

I wore this outfit for our Fashion’s Night Out event as we hosted the Block Headwear party in Soho. This outfit is all about the accessories. The hat, bag, shoes, and suspenders are what really make this otherwise simple outfit stand out.

You may be asking yourself, “Did Dustin just step out of the 1920’s Prohibition era with the dapper feathered hat, the rustic brown boots, and striped suspenders?” The answer: I WISH! I think it’s known that I have a penchant for “old-timey” things. And every now and then I like to let my personal style reflect that. Maybe I’m veering dangerously close to HOBO-CHIC (thanks ANON). BUT I DON’T GIVE A FUCK! These are stylish and simple elements that make one great outfit. Now where’s my moonshine and cigar?
