Went home like a good boy last Sunday and spent Mother’s Day with my momz. Naturally I had to pull my act together and try to look like an accomplished adult so she wouldn’t judge my life choices (jayy kayyy), so I dressed it up in a double breasted blazer and my fancy shmancy dubmonks. Also, is it ironic that I wore my “Dad” jeans on Mother’s Day?
Anywho, I’m glad I got dressed up because as it turns out my sister made rezzies at some country club that we’re not even members of (yes, we bougie like that). But after a few hundred mimosas I decided it would be cute to put my sister’s dog in my new murse. He hated it (OBVIOUSLY) but isn’t he just the cutest? Anything for CUTE! And speaking of cute, here’s a pic of me and my MOM having the most AMAZING Mother’s Day ever! Deep down she knows I’m her favorite child so I’m just waiting for her to say it out loud. Just because you don’t own a private boat or have that exlusive yacht club membership, it doesn’t mean you can’t pull off the nautial look this season. Think stripes, anchors, linen, and navy for the perfect seafaring vibe, even if you’re just a landlocked urban sailor. For this look I layered a short-sleeved striped button down over a crisp white linen henley tee and a pair of pale blue chinos for a look that’s perfect for any boat party. And make sure to add some finishing touches! Try a rope bracelet or something similar with a metal anchor clasp to really complete the look.
