OUTFIT: Men’s Knitwear

Monday Blues

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like the weekends are just too short to get everything accomplished? This weekend was a pretty unproductive one for me given the first big snow storm of the season in the city. I spent most of my time cooped up in my apartment ordering take out and watching Bravo all day to avoid being cold and wet. That’s actually not too different from a regular day but I did manage to make it to the gym once and venture out for pizza so I guess that counts as something right? Now that it’s back to the work week, I’ll be back on track to my schedule and wearing my most comfortable knits is just the easiest way to dress. I really love this sweater and I’ve been wearing it with literally everything. The elbow patches are a nice detail and I love the winter white color. And also beanies! If there’s anything that can save me from a bad hair day it’s definitely a bright beanie. I can’t count the number of times a beanie has saved me from being late for work when I’m in a rush to leave the house. Hope everyone is starting their week off on the right foot. Only another week and a half til Christmas so at least that’s something to look forward to!

Sunny Streets

Is anyone else kinda freaking out that summer’s almost over? I mean everywhere I look, it seems like everyone is prepping for fall. End of summer sales, new fall merchandise hitting shelves, back to school commercials, blah blah blah. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love fall fashion but I’m gonna miss wandering about the city in the warm summer sun. On this particular day, I ended up exploring the beautiful west village and found this quiet little street with a perfect glare of sunlight shining down between the buildings. Photoshoooot, naturally! Maybe it was all the sunlight but right after taking these pics I went and got my first tattoo! If you’ve been following me on Instajam you might’ve already seen it! For those that haven’t, I’ll be debuting it in a future blog post. (Because I know everyone cares soo much right?) Anywho, what are some crazy things you guys have done this summer?

Outfit: Men’s Summer Sweater

Dockside

Oh snap look who’s gettin his preppy on. I picked up this sweater on salesies (been doin a lot of end of season shopping lately…sorry bank account) mostly because I love the color - mint makes me look summer tan - and also because I’ve been looking for a lightweight cable knit that’s perfect on its own during the summer nights but also a nice thin layering piece as the weather transitions into fall. Though you might think a sweater is totes unnecessary during the summer months I’ll have you know that the Jersey Shore gets very cold at night, especially down by the water. Anddd because I’m at da beach, I kept the rest of the outfit super casual with some comfy sneaks and my faded “Dad” jeans. More pics from this past weekend on the shore coming later this week.
