Best Of 2013 Outfit Roundup
I know I know - this headline is like so Yoncé so I’m sorry to disappoint if you were expecting a remake of her video. For that you can check out my video on Instagram. I was originally gonna post some NYE outfit ideas but like a true slacker I still don’t know what to wear! So much pressure to get your fit poppin like OH MAH GAWDDD. So naturally I was out shopping last night along with all the other panicked crazies instead of doing a proper outfit collage. Buttttt I have the next best thing for you instead - a roundup of my favorite looks from the past year. Twenty-four looks to be exact. One to countdown every hour for the last day of 2013 - lucky you! #lulz
Now I know I’m supposed to like reflect and stuff on the past year but tbh ain’t nobody got time for that when you’re working a full time job, a full time blog, AND trying to find time to go shopping before tonight. So in short, here’s my “style” reflection for 2013. 1) I am a terrible “model” (role-model and otherwise). 2) I wear a lot of blue. 3) I also wore a lot of black this past year - that never happened before. And 4) I was a lot chubbier last winter. Very in depth reflections, see!
On a more personal note, 2013 has been a great year! So much change and growth has happened in all areas of my life and I wouldn’t take very much of it back. I’m pretty darn proud of what I accomplished and the strong relationships I’ve formed and I’m really looking forward to carrying that success and momentum into the new year. My only resolution for 2014 is to keep having fun! I think I used to worry too much about everyone and everything else in the past so from now on I’ma DO ME.
I also just want to thank you guys for continuing to support Closet Freaks. It means so much to know I have great readers who are interested in my point of view on style. It “totes” makes blogging so much fun. So keep the questions and feedback coming in 2014. Wish you guys a Happy New Year! Red carpet do da yacht bottles ready to pop! Cheers bitches!
Yay! I NEVER win anything so excuse me while I celebrate! Huge thank you to the editors at Details for choosing my post and even bigger thank you to all of you that voted
for me (everyone else, who’s side are you on?!) Best readers evarrr!

Press: Effortless Gent Interview
Signature Style: Anthony Urbano of Closet Freaks
Barron from Effortless Gent was kind enough to feature me on his site today. A while back he asked me a lot of great questions about personal style and how to improve & find one’s unique sense of style and I gave him some mostly bad answers lol. But like, not all that bad! I’m working on my interview skills okayyy? I never know what I’m saying half the time so just skim through and look at the pictures =) Oh and browse around the rest of Effortless Gent for great menswear tips and advice. Thanks Barron!

It’s been a while since we’ve done a shopping roundup so what better way to kick off the new season than with our Spring Must-Have’s. This shopping guide is especially exciting because we’ve teamed up with Beso to give one lucky reader $250 to shop our spring collections.

Anthony’s Picks (See my whole collection HERE)
If you know me then my picks should come as no surprise. This spring I’m really looking to incorporate bold bright colors and prints in everything from t-shirts to blazers to shoes. I chose items that had a preppy yet casual feel and also some with a hint of a nautical vibe.
From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
Engineered Garments Baker Jacket | Cole Haan Lunar Grand Wingtip | Cheap Monday Slim Chinos | SUPER Flat Top Sunglasses | Levi’s 513 Sta-Prest Pant | GANT Rugger Chambray Pocket Heavy Rugger Shirt | M151 Cobalt Blazer | GANT Rugger Flower Tee | GANT Rugger Sunglasses | Steven Alan Reverse Seam Shirt | Cole Haan Men’s Air Colton Saddle Oxford | Cardigan Marc Rugby Stripe Sweater
Dustin’s Picks (See my whole collection HERE)
I chose these items because I’m a pretty casual guy most of the time and I like clothes that are quick and easy. I also like solids but I added a few patterned items that I thought would be cool to mix and match for a fun Spring look.
From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
Members Only Iconic Racer Jacket | Steven Alan Mason Jar Pattern Shirt | Cole Haan Bergen Wingtip | CLUB MONACO Button-Front Print Short | Ted Baker London ‘Newnord’ Polo | AllSaints Spitalfields Izushi Short Sleeved Shirt | Club Monaco - Maddox Short | Creative Recreation Lacava Shoes | CLUB MONACO Faded Floral Short
Good luck guys AND gals!
